SIKH REGT BRIEF HISTORY
The Sikh Regiment's senior battalion (XIV Ferozpur and XV Ludhiana) were formed in 1846 on the left Bank of Sutlez river to garrison the Jullundur Doab and the new sphere of influence resultant upon the settlement of hostilities with Lahore Durbar.
