SMART HOMES

 HOW SAFE ARE SMART HOMES
I

It would be clicked to begin this article by saying sci-fi  visions of the past have now become real. Everybody knows that, and the world of sci-fi has also started dreaming up something else for tomorrow. It would be more useful if we began by showing you around a smart home filled with connected devices and the associated benefits, problems and loopholes.
A modern home may be guarded by just a smart door lock or a more complex security system. At the simplest, a  smart lock equipped with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or some other wireless communication technology will be able to recognise the pres ence of a phone with an authorised digital key in its vicinity and unlock the door. More complex systems use biometrics like finger prints, heartbeat patterns, facial features or iris matching to recognise the owner.

RELATIONSHIP MAGUNGA LEFT

My brother started sending messages again. You know something major is going on in Nim's life when he starts sending inspirational messages every so often. The internet downloaded ones that have a backdrop of a sunset, or something with flowers or some shit like that. He wishes you a good morning. Asks how your day is going at midday. Hopes that you had a good day. Then sends you to bed with a goodnight text…I am sure if he could come and tuck me in he would – complete with a bed time story and a kiss on the forehead.

TALE OF TWO ISLANDS

Very Interesting. It reminds one of the jokes "The world cannot end today, it is already tomorrow in Australia"
Above photo shows two islands in sea facing each other silently. These are not ordinary islands. They are located in Bering Straits. They belong to two Super Powers - Russia and USA and represent two different days of calendar at any given time. They are just 2.4 km apart from each other.

TO LIVE AND DIE - KHUSHWANT SINGH

How To Live & Die
Very nice article by Late  Khushwant Singh. Preserve this .
I've often thought about what it is that makes people happy—what one has to do in order to achieve happiness.
1- First and foremost is good health. If you do not enjoy good health, you can never be happy. Any ailment, however trivial, will deduct something from your happiness.

SIACHEN SELLOUT

UNTOLD STORIES: Grudges from the Siachen sellout
Vishwajeet Singh
Day before an article by Kunal Verma on the situation in Kashmir went viral on social media. Writing in the context of the latest incident in the Valley in which Major Dahiya and 5 soldiers lost their lives, the author has done some plain speaking. By holding up a mirror which has no partisan political leanings, Kunal has stated in no uncertain terms what today is the general feeling among the young officers and men. Frankly, sometimes it takes a lot of courage to stand up and tell the truth. And if you are willing to stick your neck out, you will get trolled which is fair enough, and most readers are astute enough to know which comments are motivated and which are genuine.

METRO NOIDA 2 GREATER NOIDA

First Noida Metro may run in Dec

29.7km Aqua Line Will Be Fastest Metro Project To Be Built In India, Says DMRC
The first Metro train from Noida to Greater Noida could run as early as this December, three months before the March 2018 commissioning date. The 29.7km corridor is racing to the finish line and, according to the DMRC, will be the fastest Metro project built in India.
The Aqua line, as this will be called, is also setting another benchmark -of being the most economical Metro project to be built in the country , DMRC chief Mangu Singh said on Thursday . Originally assessed at Rs 200 crore per kilometre, the actual cost of the project could eventually be around Rs 150 crore a kilometre or even lesser, officials said. To put the figure in perspective, Delhi Metro's Phase 3 is being built at a cost of Rs 552 crore per kilometre. But it has both elevated and underground sections as opposed to the Aqua line, which is uniformly above the surface level.

Dear Friends,

THE DADA-DADI, NANA-NANI SHIFT

THE DADA-DADI, NANA-NANI SHIFT
By Gouri Dange, Pune Mirror | Feb 28, 2017, 02.30 AM IST

Once these pensioners return to their homes in India, there is the whole rigmarole of starting up the house again, and picking up the threads of their lives ( REPRESENTATIONAL PICTURE)
The new tour of duty, post-retirement, is to baby-sit in foreign lands
Pensioner's Paradise did someone say? That sobriquet for Pune is now passé. Not only are many pensioners now hard at the task of baby-sitting on a daily basis, many have one more call of duty: baby-sitting right across the globe somewhere. It involves closing your house down for months at a stretch and flying to where your grown kids now live, looking after their new baby and possibly an older child, while the young parents both return to work.
