LED lights are not only bright but
cost effective as well
As per recent reports, the lighting
industry in India has been growing in double digits for the last five years and
will continue to grow between 8-10% in the next 3 to 4 years. Heavy
infrastructure development, emergence of newly electrified areas and urban
development have resulted in this growth.Mall lights, big lights, neon lights,
tube lights, red lights, yellow lights; lights have for long existed in several
varieties and have been taken for granted by home owners. Their importance has
been ignored since the time they were invented. With innovation being the buzz
word, the scenario is seeing a fast change.More and more people are developing
an interest to light up their spaces in a way that suits them.Apart from
furniture, paint and the upholstery, lighting too is becoming an important
criterion to liven up the room. Rightly so because the right lights help in
getting out the perfect look of all the things and create a perfect ambience.
The latest trend in the lighting market is of using them to give a luxurious
look to the rooms and also to use them as mood enhancers with least cost. This
is where LED lights come to your rescue.
HASSLE-FREE LIGHTING: LED
lights are solid state lights that
use Light Emitting Diodes (LED) as the source of light. They are a little
expensive than normal lights, but are cost effective as they consume less
energy and are blessed with long service life. Also known as recessed lighting,
they are easily embedded into the ceiling and leave no cords hanging around or
need no extensions from the main switch. These lightings are usually used by
home owners to fulfil their require ment of sleek, functional and affordable
lighting that gives the room a mesmerising feel. Depending on the style of the
space, they can be easily used to direct light at a painting, table, or show
cases in the rooms.Another benefit of using such lights is that they give a
spacious look to the room. So if you are facing a space crunch and want the
room to look and feel bigger then these lights are the perfect choice. The only
precaution that needs to be kept in mind is the spacing between the two lights.
Though they look small but once illuminated they cover a wide area. The common
rule is that 4-inch fixtures should generally be placed at least 4 feet apart
and 6-inch fixtures about 6 feet apart.
THE MOOD ENHANCERS:
Mood and lights have an irresistible
bond. It is easily noticeable that when sad, people prefer to sit in dark rooms
and when happy they like everything to be buoyant and well lit. Keeping this in
mind, lights have become the new mood makers. To suit the need of all the
residents in a family, mood lights are becoming a popular buy. A perfect light
for every occasion, these lights can be adjusted as per the mood of a person.
These lights have the ability to set the mood for occasions as varied as having
a party or having a romantic date. These lights can be placed anywhere in the
room and can be controlled by a remote control. The person has full control on
the colours, tempo and sequence of the lights. At the touch of the button, the
colour scheme can be changed to suit the mood. From a vibrant yellow to a deep
red or electric blue to soothing white, these lights are easily available in
the markets.
COST-FREE DÉCOR
The rising popularity of LEDs can be
attributed to the fact that they not only give a luxurious appeal to the rooms
but also are light on pocket.A full switch to the latest LED lighting would
provide energy savings of up to 80 per cent in many applications, and an
average of 40 per cent for all lighting. Suresh Sharma, dealer of LED lights,
says, “Our Prime Minister is giving us so many opportunities to save energy,
reduce carbon emission thus reduce Global Warming, save fossil fuel and most
importantly reduce imports and become self reiliant, thus it is imperative to
support him in Make In India campaign,“ says, Piyush Kumar Dwivedi, Chairman,
Future Choice Group.
LED technology also offers unprecedented
possibilities to digitally control light, to create intelligent and dazzling
light experiences.LED lighting combined with smart adaptive controls not only
sets the ambience right with options to manage brightness and light colour but
also adds on to the atmosphere by maintaining the apt thermal comfort in rooms,
reducing light pollution in outdoor applications.
